Labour’s new economic plan an ‘admission of failure’

Plans for an ‘economic contract’ to change the way Welsh Government offers financial support to businesses have been announced today. However, Welsh Conservatives have described the £50m fund as an “admission of failure”.

First Minister downplays expectations over rail franchise

Outgoing First Minister – Carwyn Jones – has sought to reduce expectations around the impact of the new rail franchise in Wales.

Speaking today, he has warned passengers that substantial changes including new carriages and electric services are “not going to happen overnight”.
