Commenting on the Health Minister’s publication of his ‘first set of decisions’ following the latest review into the Welsh Ambulance Service, Shadow Health Minister Darren Millar AM, said:
“I welcome these proposed changes and Welsh Conservatives will be carefully monitoring their implementation over the coming months.
“It’s important that this thirteenth review in seven years is the last. History must not repeat itself and the changes made must deliver a step change in our over-stretched and under-performing ambulance service.
“During the transition period, investment in inpatient beds and emergency department staff is essential if pressure and demand is to be relieved.
“Carwyn Jones’s government must put an end to its record-breaking NHS cuts and provide hard-working frontline staff with the resources they need.”
