Commenting on an agreement reached on the Common Agricultural Policy – following lengthy negotiations in Luxembourg – Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Rural Affairs, Antoinette Sandbach AM, said:
“A deal is done – now it’s up to Labour to deliver for Wales.
“Carwyn Jones’ government will need to make the right decisions for Welsh farmers and ensure they get the desired results.
“Labour Ministers have got to get the most out of the new rules and proposals for regional flexibility must be properly utilised.
“Our rural economy is under immense pressure and Welsh farmers will rightly expect results.”
