Welsh Conservatives have selected Neil Fairlamb as their local candidate on Ynys Mon. Neil said, “I am delighted to have been selected and will focus on investment for the island and health and community improvements. I want to encourage individual aspiration with a sense of social responsibility”.
Neil was brought up in Colwyn Bay, then studied at Bangor University and Oxford before becoming a classics teacher.
In 1993 he was ordained into the Church of England and in 2000 studied theology at Aberystwyth University becoming a parish priest in Aberystwyth, Merioneth and Anglesey for the last 9 years.
Neil lives on the Island and currently looks after seven churches as Rector of Beaumaris. He is the Mayor`s Chaplain and Chaplain to the RNLI and Royal Anglesey Yacht Club.
