Nick Ramsay AM welcomes devolution of air passenger duty report

Commenting on today’s release of a report looking into the devolution of air passenger duty to Wales, Shadow Minister for Finance, Nick Ramsay AM, said:

“This report by the Welsh Affairs Select Committee is welcome and supports the Welsh Conservatives call to see APD devolved to Wales, enabling us to support Cardiff airport to grow and fulfil its potential.

“However, we must work together with our closest neighbour airport in Bristol to make Wales and the South West of England an attractive option to fly from, to draw operators away from their bases in London and expand the opportunities for passengers.

“By working together we can make a success of both airports.”
