Russell is the Spokesperson for the Economy and Transport, and his role as spokesperson for the Welsh Conservative Assembly Group also includes responsibility for Culture, Tourism and Sport.

Chris Davies MP

Member of Parliament for Brecon and Radnorshire
Chris was born and brought up in the Swansea Valley and attended the local primary school and Morriston Comprehensive.For twenty years Chris worked as a rural Auctioneer and Estate Agent including time working for a Housing Association and running his own small business. Today Chris manages one of Mid Wales’s largest mixed veterinary practices based in Hay-on-Wye.

Janet Finch-Saunders AM

Spokesperson for Local Government Janet Finch-Saunders represented the ward of Craig-y-Don and Craig side in Llandudno as a Conwy County Borough Councillor for 8 years and Llandudno Town Council for 17 years. In 2004 Janet was elected as the Mayor of Llandudno, following in the footsteps of her parents, both of whom have been long serving Welsh Conservative Councillors in Aberconwy. In her previous council role of Cabinet member Janet held the portfolio for Community Safety, Disabilities and Equalities, Food Safety, Animal Welfare, Trading Standards, Member Development and the Welsh language.

Simon Hart MP

Member of Parliament for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire
Simon was elected as MP for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire in May 2010. Aged 44, he lives in Llanmill near Narberth and is married to Abigail who was born in Carmarthen and who runs a small business selling children’s clothes in Pembrokeshire. They have two young children who both go to Tavernspite CP School.

Mohammad Asghar AM

Mohammad Asghar was born in Peshawar, Pakistan. After gaining a BA in Political Science at Peshawar University, Mohammad moved to London to complete an MBA. He later gained an accountancy qualification, in Newport where he settled with his family. After spending much of his professional career working for a firm of chartered accountants in Newport, Mohammad is now principal of his own successful accountancy firm.

Mark Isherwood AM

Born in 1959, Mark , who lives in Flintshire, is a Welsh Conservative Assembly Member for North Wales . He and his wife , Hilary , have six children and one grandchild. Before election to the National Assembly for Wales in 2003, he was employed as a Building Society Area Manager in North Wales.

David Melding AM

Rt Hon David Jones MP

Member of Parliament for Clwyd West
Born in 1952, David was brought up in North Wales and educated at Ruabon Grammar School and University College, London. A solicitor by profession, he is senior partner of a practice based at Llandudno. He is married to Sara, a nurse, and has two sons. His interests include cars, travel and history. He is also a keen supporter of Liverpool Football Club.

Kay Swinburne MEP

Member of the European Parliament for Wales
Dr Kay Swinburne (nee Jones) was born in Aberystwyth and raised in Llandysul, Ceredigion where she benefited from a strong Welsh medium education at Llandysul Primary and Llandysul Grammar School. Her first degree was in Biochemistry and Microbiology from King's College London, followed by a Ph.D. in medical research and an MBA from the University of Surrey.
